Our Commitment
Kanz is built on the belief that location-based messages can bring people together in meaningful, positive ways. Safety is not an afterthought — it is a core product requirement.
Prohibited Content
The following content is prohibited and will be removed:
- Harassment and threats — messages targeting, threatening, or demeaning any individual or group.
- Hate speech — content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
- Explicit or adult content — sexually explicit material or graphic violence.
- Spam and deceptive content — bulk messages, misleading location claims, or impersonation.
- Illegal content — anything that violates applicable law, including content related to illegal goods or services.
- Private information — sharing another person's personal information without consent (doxxing).
Reporting
Any user can report a message by tapping the flag icon (⚑) on the message detail screen.
- Each user can report a message once.
- Reports are anonymous to the author of the reported message.
- Messages that accumulate 5 or more reports are automatically hidden from public view pending review.
- Hidden messages remain visible to their author so they are aware of the action.
Moderation Status
| Status | Meaning |

| active | Message is visible to eligible users. |
| Message exceeded the report threshold and is under review. | |
| deleted | Message was removed by the author or moderation. |
Enforcement
High-report messages are reviewed by a human moderator. Repeat violators will have their accounts suspended. Severe violations (threats, CSAM, illegal content) will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Appeals
If you believe your message was incorrectly hidden, contact us at support@getkanz.app with the message ID. We aim to respond within 48 hours.
Children's Safety
Kanz is not intended for users under 13 years of age. If you believe a minor is using Kanz in a harmful way, please report it immediately to support@getkanz.app.
Changes
We may update these guidelines as the product evolves. Significant changes will be communicated to users in-app.
