Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Kanz you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Kanz.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Kanz. By registering you confirm you meet this requirement.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You may not share your account or impersonate another person. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of messages you create. By placing a message on Kanz you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store and display that message to users who are physically within its discovery radius, for as long as the message is active.
You are solely responsible for the content of your messages. You agree not to post content that:
- Harasses, threatens, or demeans any person or group.
- Contains hate speech, explicit material, or graphic violence.
- Infringes any third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Constitutes spam, phishing, or deceptive location claims.
- Violates any applicable law.
5. Hunts and Prizes
Treasure hunts on Kanz may involve prizes offered by individual users. Kanz does not guarantee, fund, or fulfil any prizes. Participation in hunts does not constitute entry into a lottery. Hunt creators are solely responsible for prize fulfilment and must comply with all applicable local laws regarding contests and giveaways.
6. Moderation
We may remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines without notice. Repeat violations may result in account suspension or termination.
7. Privacy
Our collection and use of your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
8. Location Services
Kanz is fundamentally a location-based service. You acknowledge that using Kanz involves sharing your approximate GPS position with the application in order to discover nearby messages. Background location access (if granted) is used solely for on-device geofence detection.
9. Intellectual Property
All software, design, and branding of Kanz remain our property. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the application.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Kanz is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any particular message will be discoverable at any given time.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Kanz.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after notification of changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with an update, delete your account and stop using the service.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
