Frequently Asked Questions

How do I delete my account?
Open the app → Settings → scroll to the bottom → tap Delete account. You will be asked to confirm your password before deletion. This permanently removes your profile and all content you have created. This action cannot be undone.
How do I report a message?
Open the message → tap the flag icon (⚑) in the top-right corner → confirm the report. Each user can report a message once. Messages that accumulate 5 or more reports are automatically hidden pending review.
Why can't I see any messages on the map?
Messages are only visible when you are physically within their discovery radius (30–250 metres). Make sure location permission is granted in your device settings. If you are in a new area, there may simply be no messages nearby yet — try dropping one yourself!
How does background location work?
If you enable notifications in Settings, Kanz monitors your device location in the background to alert you when you walk near a message. This processing happens entirely on your device — your live location is never sent to our servers. You can disable this at any time via Settings → toggle off "Nearby message alerts".
How do I cancel my Kanz PRO subscription?
Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Kanz PRO → Cancel.

iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Kanz PRO → Cancel Subscription.
My prize was not delivered after completing a hunt. What do I do?
Hunt prizes are offered by the individual hunt creator, not by Kanz. Please contact the hunt creator directly. If you believe the hunt was fraudulent, email us at support@getkanz.app with the hunt ID and we will investigate.
How do I request my personal data?
Email support@getkanz.app with the subject "Data Request" and we will provide a copy of your data or delete it upon request. See our Privacy Policy for details.
I found a bug or the app crashed. How do I report it?
Email support@getkanz.app with a description of what happened, your device model, and OS version. Screenshots are helpful if available.
